Tomorrow's Engineers Week and STEM talk

Hi we are Izzy and Noushi

During the 'Tomorrow's Engineers Week'(7th-11th June)  we were lucky enough to have Mr Kennedy join us to talk about STEM subjects. During his talk, we learned he was an engineer whose company tests expensive cars in extreme terrains. After that, he told us all about the experiment, the Bloodhound, and its history, and the timeline of the land speed record , going back from 1914. There were some peculiar looking cars! We must say a big thank you to Mr Kennedy for his truly inspiring talk.

Meanwhile, we are getting ready for our Christmas production, though we can’t tell you much because it’ll ruin the surprise! If you listen carefully you might even hear us singing in preparation for our performance. Our homework this weekend is to learn our lines ready for rehearsals next week.

In English, we have been writing adventure stories . Noushi’s is about a young boy that goes to Madagascar !  In Izzy’s English group we’ve been writing spy stories and in Izzy’s story a spy called Emma has to stop the villains.

Wishing you a lovely weekend!
